FacilitiesAt our Institute we understand the trait of sincere and steadfast fixity of purpose that our students are making to their future, as well as as a result we are equally committed to creating the best teaching as well as learning environment possible.

We enjoys extensive music facilities incorporating well-equipped teaching spaces along with rehearsal rooms. We offer 20 practice rooms in addition to larger rehearsal spaces both within the department as well as at the Turner Concert Hall, as well as practice facilities in some of our halls of residence. With this , we provide three integrated recording as well as electronic studios whose equipment is updated annually, and a smaller providing a complement studio for preparatory work. Our resources include a dedicated music computing cluster of 19 networked multimedia workstations with internet access and music software.

Our six Music Section classrooms are located on the first and fifth floors of the institute. Piano scholarship students as well as students enrolled in Chamber Music Society are granted access to these rooms for practice.

faciltiesAll classrooms have pianos, five of which are grand pianos. One classroom also has a harpsichord. When not scheduled for classes, these rooms are available for practice by chamber music ensembles as well as can be reserved in advance. There are also eight individual practice rooms located in a suite on the second floor of the institute that are available on a 24-hour basis to all students participating in music performance subjects, as well as to music majors. Gamelan and Rambax MIT rehearsals take place in the Endicott World Music Room, located at 245 Mass.

In an important way, it is easy to reach us – the school, located close to south London, is well served by public transport . All our performance, practice along with the teaching rooms are air conditioned, sound-proofed where required and equipped to professional industry standard.

The Library on the main campus holds the highest quality collection of reference as well as borrowing materials. It consider as part of a Music Resources Room that contains our CD, video as well as DVD holdings, fully equipped with multiple listening and viewing stations. The Library also holds the Classical collection of early recordings and the Anna collection of scores and materials belonging to Gustav, Alma and Anna Mahler.
